Struktur Naratif Putri Mandalika dalam Cerita Lisan dan Seni Pertunjukan

Abstract

This research aims to determine the narrative structure of Putri Mandalika in oral and performing arts. This research was conducted because there were significant differences between the oral story of Putri Mandalika and theatrical performance art. The object of this research is the story of Putri Mandalika in oral and performing arts. This research is a qualitative type with a structural approach and is located in Kuta Village, Pujut District. The data consists of primary data in the form of interviews and secondary data sourced from literature and videos related to Putri Mandalika. Data was collected by interviews which were then analyzed using triangulation techniques and narrative structure data analysis. The results of the research found that there were similarities and differences in the narrative structure identified from the beginning story, middle story, and end story of Putri Mandalika in the oral and ballad theater performance arts of Putri Mandalika. The difference in the story of Putri Mandalika in oral form and in performing arts is due to several factors, including differences in story telling. In oral stories, Putri Mandalika's story is conveyed through words and spoken language. The person telling the legend may add or subtract details according to their personal style and habits.
